Proud of Alexandra Ware, second year graduate student in the lab presenting our work on the role of BNIP3 in cancer cachexia . Loss of BNIP3 protects against muscle wasting in a mouse model of PDAC and also limits rates of progression to malignant disease. We are excited to identify how peripheral tissue wasting is modulating tumorigenesis – work has relevance for defining circulating biomarkers of early stage disease and decreasing tumor burden. AACR25
